Parasailing FAQs
-
When parasailing, you ride under a parachute that is being towed by a speedboat. There is very little physical effort involved – you mostly need to enjoy the incredible views from up to 800 feet in the air! Both the launch and landing are done from the back of the specialized parasailing boat, so there’s no need to take a swim (though you may get a little wet from the spray)!
-
The minimum age for parasailing is 6 years old, and there is no maximum age assuming one is healthy enough for light exertion. The minimum and maximum weights for a single rider are 50 and 250 lbs, respectively. Common sense should be applied as to whether being suspended from a parachute high above the Pacific Ocean is an appropriate activity for the potential rider.

Hundreds of thousands of parasailing flights are done all around the country every year safely. The biggest risks come from operating in unsafe weather or sea conditions combined with poorly maintained equipment. Like all parasailing operators, we monitor weather and sea conditions hourly by both the Internet and radar and have strict rules about when to suspend operations, and all of our equipment is fully inspected and logged at the start of each day. Chris, our captain, has 5 years and over 75,000 parasailing flights under his belt without a single injury.
