Whether you’re fishing for the first time or have been doing it for years, there is no better way to enjoy a day on the ocean than aboard a Dana Wharf fishing trip.
Our half-day and twilight trips offer a fun, convenient way to experience Southern California sportfishing. Our friendly, experienced captains and crew will help you throughout the trip, from setting up your equipment to offering tips on how to catch the fish that are biting that day.
Depending on the season and fishing conditions, you may catch calico bass, sand bass, sculpin, rockfish, bonito, barracuda, halibut, maybe even a yellowtail and more. Every trip is different, and that’s part of the adventure!

Our boats feature comfortable walk-around deck space, restrooms and full-service galleys offering beverages, snacks and hot food for purchase.
Additional Information
- Fishing Equipment: Rod-and-reel rentals, which include a small tackle package, are available through the office.
- Fishing Licenses: Everyone age 16 and older must have a valid California fishing license before boarding. Please purchase your license in advance through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. You can also buy one in our tackle store.
- Food and Beverages: Beverages, snacks and hot food are available for purchase from the boat’s galley.
- What to Bring: We recommend layered clothing, closed-toe shoes with nonslip soles, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Forgot something? You can buy it in our store.
- Fuel Surcharge: The listed ticket price does not include the applicable fuel surcharge. It is collected at check-in and applies to all passengers, including third-party reservations.
- Gratuities: Tips are optional but greatly appreciated by our hardworking crew.
- Fish Cleaning: The crew may clean your catch for an additional charge. The crew will inform you if your catch is legal.
