Dana Pride Private Charters in Dana Point
The 95-foot Dana Pride is Dana Wharf’s flagship vessel and the largest boat in our fleet. It was custom-built for Dana Wharf in 2002 by Little Hoquiam Shipyard in Washington, and at 95 feet it is the largest whale watching boat in Orange County. The Dana Pride is the queen of our fleet!
The Dana Pride offers spacious indoor and outdoor areas, two-level seating, a large climate-controlled salon, a full-service snack bar, a flat-screen television and plenty of room to move comfortably throughout the vessel.
Accommodating as many as 149 passengers, the Dana Pride is available for private whale watching, sportfishing charters, corporate outings, celebrations, educational excursions, coastal cruises and burials at sea. Every charter departs from Dana Point Harbor.

Private Whale Watching
Have the Dana Pride to yourselves for a private whale and dolphin watching trip off Dana Point, home to the trademark Dolphin & Whale Watching Capital of the World®. Private charters run two hours as standard, and longer trips can be arranged.
A certified marine naturalist can be added on request on all whale watching charters at no extra charge. If you would rather not have one on deck, your captain will narrate the trip.
Private Fishing Charters
Book the Dana Pride for a half-day, three-quarter-day or all-day private sportfishing charter out of Dana Point Harbor. The boat is Coast Guard certified for up to 149 passengers, and we recommend up to 65 for fishing.

Celebrations and Corporate Events
Corporate events, holiday parties, weddings, birthdays and family celebrations all have room aboard the Dana Pride, with indoor and outdoor gathering areas and seating for up to 100 guests.
Add catering, a licensed bar, and a DJ or live music, and choose a daytime, sunset or evening departure.
Burials at Sea
The Dana Pride can host a burial at sea ceremony for up to 125 guests.
For ceremonies aboard the Dana Pride, Dana Wharf makes a donation in your loved one’s name to the Gulf of Catalina Gray Whale Preservation and Education Foundation, and you receive a certificate of donation.

Up to 65 passengers recommended for fishing charters.
A temporary fuel surcharge is added to fishing charters: $100 for a 1/2 day, $150 for a 3/4 day and $250 for an all-day charter.
