Wyland’s Whale and Dolphin Adventure Art Lessons In The Wild 2022

Dana Point, California— January 2022 — Marine Life Artist; Wyland and Dana Wharf Whale Watching present, Wyland’s Whale and Dolphin Adventure; Art Lessons in the Wild starting Saturday, January 22nd through April 23rd, 2022.

Dana Wharf established Whale Watching in Orange County in 1971 and is endorsed by Wyland (Artist of the Sea). The renowned marine life artist found inspiration for his artwork of the beloved gray whale during their migration to warmer waters in the winter. It was from the Gray Whale experience that inspired Wyland to develop the program “Art Lessons in the Wild” with Wyland’s Whale and Dolphin Adventures in partnership with Dana Wharf Whale Watching.

This exclusive package for kids ages 12 and under, includes an art lesson via video feed by environmental artist Wyland and a FREE 2-hour whale watching adventure. Each child that participates in the Art Lesson (cost is $10) will be entered in a contest to win prizes as well as a gift from Wyland and Dana Wharf just for entering! The 2022 Grand Prize will be a framed and signed artwork by Wyland called “OCEANS” which is inspired by the Disney nature film with the same title. Wyland blended the film’s theme of ocean conservation along with real-life images of humpback whales and dolphins celebrating life in the sea. The artwork is valued at over $4,000! All children’s artwork will be judged by Wyland for a chance to win other prizes!

Art lessons begin at 9 am. The Whale Watching Adventure departs after the art lesson at 10 am and will end at 12pm. The lesson is limited to 10 children for social distancing and the art lesson fee will be donated to The Wyland Foundation. Additional Whale Watch tickets are $56 for adults and $39 for kids 12 & under not participating in the lesson. (Valid only on Saturdays at 9 am and must be accompanied by a paid adult, 2 kids max per adult.) The paid adult must be met to participate in the $10 art lessons and free whale watching. Not applicable for discounts or promos.

Dana Point is known as a landmark for whale sightings due to its weather, underwater canyons, shallow waters, large kelp beds, and ecosystems. These optimal conditions enhance the chance to see these beautiful Gray Whales during their migration. Enjoy this wonderful opportunity for your child to participate in a special art lesson with Wyland and see these majestic creatures in their natural environment with this exclusive package.
