Weekly Fishing Report ~ November 27nd – December 3rd

There is still some decent fishing going on for both half-day and three-quarter-day trips. Water temperatures are between 63°-64° with pretty decent movement. The bass action on live baits is still good to see, and the sheepshead fishing has been really fun, with some nice ones caught on shrimp and clam baits. The weather has definitely kept things rolling, and the passenger loads have been pretty mellow, giving anglers some chances to fish small rocks and tight water spots.

The three-quarter day trips have been focused on the cod program, with good fishing in the 40-50 fathom areas. Conditions have been very fishable, and there have been a lot of sardines and mackerel in the area over the deep hard bottom, which has made the rockfish up and really active. Anglers fishing with 100-120 gram jigs have been catching fish midwater. This has resulted in good fishing, with anglers going home with what they need on the cod and plenty of whitefish and sculpin on top of that.

Every December, there is a kids fishing free promo running. So, from tomorrow through the 22nd, you get one free kid with a full-fare adult ticket. This is a great opportunity to get out on the water!

Reel Fun hoop net trips have been excellent, and on one recent trip, 25 legal lobsters were caught, with 250 shorts caught and released.

Plenty of cod are available for the three-quarter day anglers, while the half-day sheephead fishing has been very good with shrimp and clam baits.
