Weekly Fishing Report ~ November 13th – 19th

We had a mellow week on both the 1/2 and 3/4 day fishing trips with light loads.

During the 1/2 day trips, we mostly caught bass and sheephead. The water temperature was between 63°-64°, which is still mild. We had some surface action on live bait, but most of the action was mid-water on sliders. We also caught some nice sheephead using the clam and shrimp baits. Except for a couple of days of wet mornings, we had some good sunshine to help with the water temperature and bass action.

On the 3/4 day trips, we focused on rockfish. We had good counts almost every day since we got off the dock. We caught fish using baits and vertical jigs, and we had plenty of options with tackle to keep us dialed. Some days had good uphill current, which meant using heavier sinkers and jigs, but while on the drift and anchor, we caught plenty of reds, chilies, grouper, and nice whitefish and dabs.

Additionally, the lobster hoop net charters aboard the Reel Fun have been doing well. The groups have been taking home plenty of lobster at the end of the night, and it has been a fun way to get out. Weather hasn’t been a factor either.a person holding a fish in the water a man standing next to a body of water a man that is standing in the snow
